People please do not do this.....

I am totally in my emo mood after what I saw this afternoon at Toa Payoh.

I bought my drink at Toa Payoh Burger King and settle down at the outside dinning area, it was there I saw this elderly woman about 70 or 80 plus sitting in a wheelchair behind one of the seat belonging to Burger King. In front of her was just a small cup which I can't see properly whether it's filled with water.

After about 20 mins, another elderly woman of maybe 50 plus 60 came and sat beside her, chat a while and left. My guess her friend or relative, my second guess she left her there so that she can do her groceries.

I then went back to do my work.

Soon, I was interrupted by the Burger King service crew when she asked me whether she can cleared my half drank ice lemon tea. I rejected her, that service staff went on to clear the cup from the elderly woman. I looked at the time and it was like half an hour had gone since I arrived.

I continued with my work.

I looked at the time when I finished my work and two solid hours had gone. I look up and the elderly woman in the wheelchair was still around by herself.

It has been like one and a half hour since anyone attended to her. I felt pity to her and a bit angry with her family or friends for putting her there without any one to watch over her. What if she is thirsty? What if she faint or whatever? And it is so wrong to leave her outside Burger King just like that for ONE and Half hour. What is her family thinking?

I packed my stuffs getting ready to go for my next appointment; once a while stealing glances at the elderly woman. I then walked to the counter and asked them for a cup of warm water; I walked towards the elderly lady and offered her that cup of water and asked her whether she is fine. She gave me a smile not saying anything, not touching the water. I smiled back at her and walked off, turning my head back after a few steps watching her taking up the cup and drank continuously for quite a while.

I hoped I had helped her in some way.

It really pained me to see this scene, but it also dawn on me over the "small" argument I had with my mother this morning. It's so insensitive of me to brush away her concern because of my stubbornness.

I can understand taking care of elderly can be tough, but there's no reason to park them at a public place without anyone attending to their needs.

I hope I do not see this elderly woman next time I go down to Toa Payoh. God bless you, elderly lady.

Dream, Dream, Dream

I have a very strange dream today.

I dreamt that I was in a cart pull by 2 cows with someone I do not know who but was chitchatting with him/her. All of a sudden the cows started to run and I fell onto one of the cow. I held on to it for quite a while before I fell from it

Then the next thing I know I was seeing flashes across my eyes, flashes like printers, t-shirt with skull or tiger head on it. It just keep flashing in front of my eyes.

After it stopped, I found myself to be standing in a group looking at the “me” who fell on the ground from the cow. I have became another character and the location is a Kampong.

The second character sensed that he/I need to notify the Kampong doctor and he/I quickly ride onto a bicycle and cycle very fast but as the road was bumpy, I fell onto the ground and flashes started again flashing across my eyes. This time round the flashes were again the t-shirt and partial views of a room; it has table, cupboard but it is not my room, I do not know whose room was it.

Now after the flashes end, I found myself walking in a garden but I was in a boy’s body and I was in ancient Balinese clothing. As I roamed in the garden, I came across a lady washing her legs in a pond whom I somehow knew it was my mother and this lady does not look even 1% like my real mother. She smiled at me as she washes her legs and I continued wondering in the garden.

the clothing in my dream was something similar to this

After a while, I heard screams and cried from the other side of the garden. I rushed to where the commotion was and there I found my “mother” crying loudly and a man whom I somehow knew was my father, but again he has no resemblance t my actual father; too was crying loudly.

Next to them was a adult female body, and instantly I recognized her as my father’s concubine; in a pool of blood and somehow I knew she died from giving birth.

I too broke down crying loudly and my “father” hugged me tightly and I lost conscious after that.

Again I saw flashes flashing across my eyes, this time faces that I do not knew.

I believe during then I was half awake as I struggle to open my eye to wake up and it was after I managed to open my eye, the flashes stop and I found myself in my quiet dim room.

What’s more scary was during the stage when I struggle to open my eyes, I felt something looking over my shoulder as I was in lying in a side position.

I’m sure that was part of a dream too, let’s not go deep into interpreting it.

After all, I’m quite used to having strange and bad dreams.

My "God" Family

Last weekend I just spent some times with my new “Godson”; being a boy naturally he is more active and more playful compare to my goddaughter but I can still handle it and kinda of enjoy it for now.

The feeling is just different and to top it up, even the spoken language is different; one speaks Chinese the other English. Can’t imagine if the two is with me at the same time, I need to speak in 2 languages.

One play fighting and the other家家酒. I think I’m a multi role playing character.
